Here at Femme & Fortune, we’re all about empowering and supporting women throughout their career. Whether you’re trying to climb the corporate ladder or turn your side-hustle into a full-time business, we’re here to provide resources, events, conferences, and community. That’s why we’re happy to start our new intern program. Starting this winter, we’ll take a group of interns under our wing to work out of our chic Philadelphia office (located in Fishtown). Interns will gain valuable experience by assisting Femme & Fortune in multiple departments and really hit the ground running when it comes to growing and managing the various parts of the biz. From our monthly events to our yearly conference FearlessCon to our agency clients, Femme & Fortune isn’t your average brand. Read along to learn all about our internship program and how to apply!

The Who

The Femme & Fortune Internship Program is open exclusively to college students who are eligible to receive college credit. Many of our past interns were students at Temple or Drexel University, or students studying in Philadelphia for a semester.

Our interns are motivated, proactive, hard-working and excited to learn about working with a startup, especially one dedicated to empowering women. Interns should have a good idea of our aesthetic, our goals, our audience and our overall vision. Our interns will typically spend 10-15 hours a week here in our Fishtown office called the H$TL House, and every day looks different!

The What

When applying, interns will have the opportunity to choose which aspect of the Femme & Fortune brand they want to intern for. We have editorial interns, event interns, social media/marketing interns and more! Each intern will have a different task load based on their department and role, and we’ll be using a project management system and email to stay on track of all projects. We may even get our own Slack if we’re feeling real techy.

The Perks

Being an Intern at Femme & Fortune is all about getting out what you put in. We want you to learn a ton, get your hands dirty but also have the freedom to pursue your own passion and directions. You won’t be micromanaged here, but we do move at a fast pace so be prepared to work your butt off, in a good way! In addition to tons of learning, our interns enjoy a relaxed dress code, free access to workshops and events, snacks and drinks and more! Our goal is for our interns to walk away with a memorable experience that can eventually lead to bigger and grander opportunities for them!
