The show also follows a group of survivors who have to deal with the danger of desperate and cruel people, lack of food and water and the growing struggle of finding a safe place to rest their heads.
6 – Jessica Jones
Okay, admittedly Jessica Jones is only on its first season, which means there isn’t a ton of binge material. But the episodes that are available are solid gold.
Netflix based this series on the Marvel comic by the same name. Female superhero? Check. Terrifying villain? Check. Emotional circumstances that leave you devastated yet wanting more afterward? Check and check. Jessica Jones is a sarcastic woman with a dark past, just trying to get by as a Private Investigator in New York City. Though she is a little different than the average woman, Jessica Jones is still a character you can relate to.
7 – Sense8
Category: Science Fiction Drama
Netflix has really stepped their game up by adding their own original shows, and Sense8 is a perfect example of that. Like fellow Netflix series Jessica Jones, this show only has one season so far. But with 12 episodes, there’s still plenty of show time to fill a weekend.
Sense8 has a diverse cast and includes veteran stars like Daryl Hannah and Naveen Andrews. The show follows eight extremely different characters from different cultures around the world who inexplicably find themselves connected. From Lito Rodriguez, a famous actor with a secret, to Nomi Marks, a trans woman who is a political blogger and ‘hacktivist’, the eight characters could not be any more different. Discovering the mystery behind their lives is a wild journey you won’t want to miss.

The misfit teens soon discover the planet isn’t quite as desolate as they thought — and they’re not alone on Earth. The challenges of a radioactive planet coupled with the race to find food and shelter means there’s never a dull moment for the 100.

Category: Science Fiction Drama
X-Files was one of the first hit shows to take on the things that go bump in the night. FBI special agents Scully and Mulder make an unlikely team. Mulder is a conspiracy theorist who will go to incredible lengths to prove that the truth is out there, while Scully is a realist with a level head.
