Femme & Fortune contributor, Tina Ramchandani is an interior design genius (in case you didn’t know already), who recently teamed up with fellow interior designer and friend, Sarah Sarna to start their own design firm called Franklin Eighth. We’re all about entrepreneurial women here at Femme & Fortune, so we couldn’t be more prouder of Tina and Sarah for their recent work at the first floor ladies lounge in New York City’s Holiday House. The best part of it all – The Holiday House is a showhouse that benefits The Breast Cancer Research Foundation! Designers are chosen to design their own space dedicated to a holiday within the showhouse itself, and Tina and Sarah chose Jazz Appreciation Month as their theme.
Inspired by the complexity and contrasts within jazz music, and the Art Deco aesthetic that defined its heyday, both Tina and Sarah marry patterns and textures popular from the 1920’s to create a space that exudes sophistication, elegance and class. Today is the last day to view Franklin Eighth’s masterpiece, so make sure to visit Holiday House NYC in the historic Academy Mansion at 2 East 63rd Street in Manhattan today!
