Last Saturday, we headed over to Penn Treaty Park for the 3rd Annual Vendy Awards. There were LOTS of food, beer and sweets to be had served to you by the fine street vendors of Philadelphia. But the Vendy’s is not just a day of free food and beer to your heart’s content. More importantly, it’s a way for them to raise money for the Food Trust, a non-profit organization that strives to build healthy communities by making nutritious food available to everyone across the nation.
The Foo Truck, a Philadelphia food truck staple, was in attendance at the event. Serving deviled eggs, tofu fritters and my favorite, the braised meatballs. Nice chalkboard art by the way, George! (it’s by our first Philly Bachelor here on F&F, Trong Tang!)
KAMI, a Korean American food truck, was serving Korean somen noodles at the Vendys. My only complaint was that they weren’t big enough! But hey, it was good nonetheless! You can find the bright red cart on 33rd and Arch on most days, but follow her on Twitter anyway for more updates!

We ended the event with cupcakes from Jimmies Cupcake Co. We scored 4 mini cupcakes but my favorite would have to be raspberry lemon, better known as the Lebron James! (I cheated and had cupcakes after every meal, though ;))
